nowhere she would go.
I saw a little yellow bird
today on my way home.
She was smaller than my palm,
But nowhere she would go.
And little did I know,
I noticed as I grew closer,
that another little bird
laid dead close to her.
but nowhere she would go.
she stood her ground,
and tried to awaken
her deceased partner,
by shaking him.
"He's gone," I tried to tell her,
But she paid no attention,
"Wake up, Honey," she wanted to say,
But he was already in heaven.
I saw the little yellow bird
the next day on my way home,
oh, this brave bird stood her ground,
and nowhere she would go.
Am I alive? Well...kinda
This whole studying art thing takes up a lot... ahem, all of my time. Our projects run in 3 week cycles, so the Flat gets cleaned every 3d week, when I have a weekend to myself. As for other things...bleh. The only friends I have are those in the same predicament as me, we all wanted to go out yesterday, but I decided to get sick instead. So sick that I almost threw up at the thought of food. But as an art student, I can't afford to sleep. For that day (Thursday, yesterday) we had to draw 6 A2 sketches for homework. Not joking. 6. A2.
I decided to put myself before my course for the first time this whole year. I'm s
We went on a little field trip today, our Lecturer took us to go visit Angus Taylor's studio. The moment we walked in I felt like I was in heaven. There were Marquette's of little Quaggas everywhere! He was busy working on a sculpture of a woman sitting on a very reluctant Quagga. I love any sculptures of animals as I'm fascinated by the way they somehow capture a moment in time. The emotions you get from a sculpture is tonnes more than you would get from looking at a photograph. It's more intense. a very raw kind of feeling.
Mainly he focuses on 'Momentary Permanence', as he refers to it, he arranges natural found objects; stone, wood, stic
If you read the title and understand what I mean, even if only slightly, then you are free to go :D
If not...well you'll need to read the following lecture:
I got into University, studying Fine Art. A 4 year Fine art course. Why? Good question.
It's expensive, time consuming and emotionally draining and I haven't even finished orientation week yet. We're officially starting on the 14th and I'm actually excited to find out what our first project will be - the old wrists need some exercise and I need something to convince me that the R1879.99 I spent on art materials that I despise (Yes, you guessed it, Acrylic f*kin paint) will be of any us
